Taking a short break

The short version:
Posting will resume on April 6th.

The long version:
Yeah. I've been struggling to keep up with the daily updates. Rather than letting it go on like this, I've decided that I should just stop posting for a little while. Officially, I mean. I'll use this time to take care of some things and get myself organized so that I can come back stronger and be more consistent. Sorry if I've disappointed you. I just a need a little extra time, is all. I figured now was a good time to do it, since we're just breaking into a new story arc.

Also, yes, April 6th will mark The Zombie Knight's second anniversary. :)

Anyway, see you guys in a little while. And in case you missed it, I put up a new page a few minutes before posting this.

  2. Don't worry Frost ^_^ Take as much time as you need, it's better that you rest than to stress yourself out trying to force more out. We can all wait, and anyone who gets snippy about it is just a dick.

  6. Enjoy the break. :) And, don't stress out about buffer production if you do. Do that, and it's time to break out the BBQ and kick back, instead. Well, given no gale force winds and sudden dumps of snow, naturally. ;)

  7. You've been writing nearly nonstop for close to 2 years. You more than deserve the time off. I hope you the break. Your fans will still readers be here when you get back

  8. I understand that you need a break, but geez man! Did you have to leave it on such a cliff hanger?

  9. This. I've seen dozens of writers like this basically quit because they took a break, neglected to keep writing at least a little bit during their break and then found they struggled to do any writing when they came back to it, if they were able to come back at all.

  10. We all need to step back and take some time to recharge sometimes. You certainly deserve it, given the amazing writing you give us as a labor of love.

On my end, I'm just happy there's a plan now. A definite hiatus I can handle, it's the uncertainty that gets me.

  11. Do whatever works for you to get it done and get it done right :). That being said you HAD to take a break with the potential psycho killer standing over a dead body.

  12. We'll be here after the break as well. :D Enjoy it!

  14. What a fantastic community, it's rare to see such a unified positive response.

  15. I guess since frost is taking a break from writing, you're taking a break from caring about grammar, lol. Like everybody, I agree with the sentiment. We all really appreciate your good work, Frost, which you do without more than asking nicely for anything in return, and we're glad to know you're ok.
On a personal note, knowing when to expect you back helps a lot with my personal neurosis, so thanks for that as well.

  16. Lol I was sleepy when I wrote that. Rereading it had me confused as all Hell. However, I think I'll leave the mistakes. People must be informed of the idea that missing a couple words automatically means you no longer care about grammar "lol"

  17. Gah!!!!!

I started reading 10 days ago and when I finally join the caught up cult... club, I meant club :)
Well when I finally join the caught up club I'm left with this cliffhanger! What do I do?

Oh, and if I haven't mentioned it before I love reading your work Mr Frost. I also love reading the comments left by your long time commentors, hello everyone!

  18. Recall how he always responds to any question the answer to which would be useful. He probably takes sick, sadistic glee in tormenting us all with uncertainty for a week.

  19. Certainly better than that one incident on the Minecraft Forum thread for Thaumcraft. At one point the artist got really ticked off at the toxic community, although admittedly he then got about thirty pages of praise, thanks, and vicious mockery of the vocal minority being rude. Nice that TZK's readership seems to have skipped the wholly unnecessary intermediate step.

  22. The joke was just that you are one of the people who proofreads for Frost.

  23. Everybody else has really said it all already about how we don't mind the wait we love your work, so just remember: you aren't allowed to work yourself to death until we've found you a reaper that could offer sufficiently entertaining banter.

  26. Oh, so you did. I think it was late and I was sleepy when I posted mine.

  27. Frankly, I doubt there's any chance it was actually Ibai. Frost does try not to be predictable, but I have yet to see him go out of his way to fool his readers, and Ibai seems not to have a killer streak. Besides, he could easily have killed someone without ending up embedded in them and having trouble getting out.

  28. 2nd Girl Genius, Dr. McNinja, Worm, & Citadel. Also recommend: The Gods are Bastards, d20 Monkey, Adrien's Undead Diary (right up to the very end), Schlock Mercenary, Twisted Cogs, Brennus, Goodfae, Between failures, and Unsounded.
